Marilyn Laszlo has been supported by First Baptist Church since 1965.

Laszlo Mission League
Marilyn has been a member of First Baptist Church since 1960. She taught history and physical education for five years before joining Wycliffe Bible Translators as a linguist in 1965. Beginning in 1967, Marilyn Laszlo ventured into the wilds of Hauna Village, Papua New Guinea, which is 500 miles upriver with one goal in mind – to help as many hurting people as possible, learn their language, and translate the Bible into the Sepik Iwam language. She met that goal in 1990 when she finished translating the New Testament for the Sepik Iwam people. Praise the Lord for this accomplishment!
Since that time, Marilyn’s influence has expanded from a small farm in Valparaiso, Indiana, where she was raised into a national ministry. Marilyn has been in every state except Alaska. As a national speaker, she speaks at conferences, universities, missions events, camps, women’s retreats, schools, and conventions.
In August 2003, Marilyn resigned from Wycliffe Bible Translators and began her own missions organization called Laszlo Mission League. Through the support of her friends and partners, the ministry of Laszlo Mission League has expanded beyond just the United States. Marilyn has received invitations to Hungary, Korea, Philippines, Canada, and Australia.
The mission of Laszlo Mission League is to mobilize the church to place the Scriptures in the hands of all people in their own language to the glory of God.
