I'm New To FBC Valpo

Karolyne has been supported by First Baptist Church since 1970.

Karolyne Williamson went to France in 1968 as a student missionary under the Society for Europe’s Evangelization (SEE Team) missionary training program.  She remained with the mission after completing the training program as a student.  Since Karolyne married Steven, a nuclear physicist with the University of Illinois, they live in Champaign, IL, and she continues her ministry with SEE as an assistant to the Home Council.

While she is in France, she helps plant new churches, leads Bible studies for women, assists with evangelistic meetings, and teaches New Testament Greek, chorale, voice, theory, and basic beginner for various instruments at the Baptist Bible Institute in Chelle near Paris.  Karolyne will be involved with the new Paris church and continue to visit the other churches planted by SEE in France.

When Karolyne is not in France (6 months a year), she serves in several ways at her church in Illinois and helps her brother in Wisconsin who was in an accident several years ago.  Because of the large number of foreign students doing graduate and post-graduate work at the University of Illinois, Karolyne frequently has contacts with French people, opportunities to witness to them and their families, and visits with them when they return to work in France.  The support she receives through SEE goes uniquely toward her travel and living expenses for her ministry in Europe.
