First Baptist Church has supported Beth Harmon since 2007

Beth became involved with CEF in 2007 after a two year journey on which the Lord taught her a lot about obedience to Him and His will for her life.  When approached with the possibility of taking over as Director of CEF for this area, she was very happy as a stay-at-home mom.  However, it seemed to her that this was something God wanted her to do, so she agreed to be the Director in obedience to Him.  Through the past 2 years, he has taken that one act of obedience and turned it into a blessing, helping me to see just how much He is doing and wants to do with the children of Northwest Indiana.  So now, even after her new baby, Zion, is born, she intends to continue working with the ministry as the Lord allows because she feels so strongly that this ministry is important.

This past year, CEF had Good News Clubs in 7 schools.  Three of the schools are new to the ministry and have never had Good News Clubs in the past.  One school actually required legal representation before a CEF Good News Club was allowed inside!  Nearly 500 children participated in the program, and 64 children professed faith in Christ for the first time.

This past summer, two teenage summer missionaries led six 5-Day Clubs at various people’s homes, as well as helping with the summer CEF work in Fort Wayne for a week.  Two children professed faith in Christ for the first time at these clubs.  CEF had a booth at the Porter County Fair, where volunteers painted faces and shared the Gospel message.  CEF helped at a local event that provided backpacks and school supplies for children in the area called “Backpacks Because,” where volunteers painted children’s faces and shared the Gospel message.

Beth is married to Scott, and they have two sons, Jubal and Zion.
